Dr Maryam Ferdosian, ND
Founder of east van integrated health

Growing up and witnessing suffering and chronic and incurable diseases, I dreamed of being a doctor that could discover a cure for everyone. I knew that helping people heal was my highest calling and I dreamed of pursuing medicine.

When I immigrated from Iran to Canada as a teenager, a whole new world of opportunities opened up for me. I attended Simon Fraser University and graduated with my Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology, and began working as a kinesiologist and personal trainer. It was not long after I began my Naturopathic schooling when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

I began to seek alternative solutions that aligned with my understanding of the body and could help me flourish. I found natural solutions that supported me on my healing journey. I am so grateful to be able to offer my patients sustainable, natural solutions that can transform their lives. I am honoured to assist my patients on their own healing journey and to be there for them through life’s ups and downs.

With the right support anyone can heal and thrive.

Cures do not only come out of a laboratory; they arise out of how we live, through our habits, life patterns, thoughts, and environment.

There is no one pill that will cure everything, and the causes of disease or illness may be several. The human body and experience is complex, and there is no ‘one way’ to optimal health or healing.

You are complex. Your experience is a part of who you are. You are not just a body. Your environment, habits, thoughts, feelings and unique anatomy are keys to finding sustainable solutions and building a beautiful and healthy life.

I was attracted to Naturopathic Medicine for this holistic perspective. I received my designation of Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in British Columbia and have further certifications in Bowen therapy, Cranial Sacral therapy, IV therapy, and drug prescription authority. One of the main principles of Naturopathic Medicine states that the mind, body, and spirit must harmoniously work together to heal the whole person. I use individualized treatments according to your specific needs and goals. I am committed to supporting you, listening to your experience, addressing your symptoms, and enabling you to take charge of your health, and move towards a state of holistic health and freedom.
